Terms of Service
Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. About the service
IELTS Lab is an AI-powered preparation platform for the IELTS exam. We provide practice tests, AI scoring, speaking practice with a live AI examiner, role-play scenarios and other learning tools.
AI band scores are estimates, not official IELTS results. They are intended for practice and progress tracking only. IELTS Lab is an independent platform and is not affiliated with British Council, IDP or Cambridge Assessment English.
2. Accounts
To use the platform you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
3. Subscriptions and payments
The platform offers a free plan with monthly usage limits and three paid plans: Starter ($10/month), Pro ($14/month) and Plus ($19/month). Payments are processed by our payment service provider. Your subscription renews monthly until cancelled.
You can cancel anytime from your settings; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Unpaid renewals downgrade the account to the free plan.
4. Acceptable use
You may not: reverse-engineer or scrape the platform, share your account with others for commercial resale, upload unlawful content, or attempt to disrupt the service. We may terminate access for violations.
5. Content and intellectual property
All platform content (practice tests, exercises, designs, software) belongs to IELTS Lab or its licensors. Your submitted essays and answers remain yours; we use them to provide scoring and to improve the service.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that your IELTS score will improve, or that AI assessments match official exam results.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IELTS Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
